KOI KLUB is a monthly club event in Berlin, promoted by organizer Yoske Nishiumi since 2002.
KOI KLUB was originally created by Nishiumi to bring together a circle of friends and to give them all a platform on which to display their various talents and activities. KOI KLUB is based on the concept of the diverse meanings of the word Koi in the Japanese language, with the club setting out to embrace the diversity of people, music, and artists interventions and their works.
Yoske Nishiumi was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1967 and designed for Onitsuka tiger the Koi Club Collection. The second sneaker collection is inspired by the look and feel of varsity jackets, the design of this second collection called Big Koi is dominated by leather wool and chenille.
